The University's expectation is that candidates complete their programs in a timely way. Full-time candidates engaging in significant amounts of employment is not compatible with this expectation. Consequently, full-time candidates (including those in receipt of scholarships) are permitted to undertake only a strictly limited amount of paid employment. The following conditions apply:
|Full-time candidates (no scholarship)||No more than 15 hours per week during normal working hours (i.e., 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday)|
|Scholarship holders||No more than 9 hours per week during normal working hours (i.e., 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday)|
- For candidates employed in tutoring or lecturing, these hours will include the time required for preparation and marking.
- Scholarship holders and sponsored students should consult the conditions associated with their awards and sponsorships for any special conditions relating to employment.
