Pharmacology and Toxicology Careers

The Bachelor of Pharmacology and Toxicology provides graduates with a comprehensive education in pharmacological and toxicological sciences. Some of the career options open to graduates from this program include: pharmaceutical sales, regulatory affairs, medical science liaison, clinical trials monitor, pharmacy assistant as well as research and development.
The Bachelor of Pharmacology and Toxicology/Bachelor of Business double degree provides graduates with the strong understanding of pharmaceutical sciences as well as excellent foundations in in business and management concepts. Employment may be sought in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, neutraceutical and related industries in areas including management, sales, marketing, business development.
Bachelor of Pharmacology and Toxicology/Bachelor of Laws double degree enables graduates to also seek employment in the areas of law, patent protection and in government agencies.
For students who want to pursue a career in pharmacy, the Bachelor of Pharmacy or the Master of Pharmacy provides an accredited pathway that leaves you eligible for pharmacist intern training. Graduates from the Bachelor of Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy program can find employment in community or hospital pharmacies, provide medication management advice, clinical trials, health education and medical publishing.
All of the programs offered by the School of Pharmacy provide students with strong foundations for pursuing a higher degree by research such as a Doctor of Philosophy. Graduates with higher degrees by research can find employment in academia and research as well as higher level in employment in industry.
