Why study speech pathology?
Our Master of Speech Pathology program is a nationally-accredited, 2-year full-time, graduate-entry professional preparation program.
Our program enables personal and professional development through integrating a unique problem-based learning curriculum where active learning occurs in small groups with early hands-on clinical placement experiences. In this way, theory, evidence-based practice, and clinical skills are linked together from the start, following a clear and defined developmental trajectory from a novice practitioner to a work-ready entry-level clinician.
The Master of Speech Pathology program strongly fosters research literacy to enhance your ability to respond effectively to the ever-changing nature of professional knowledge and practice, and to ensure you have the skills to provide quality, collaborative, client-centred services throughout your professional life.
Although there are no prerequisites to enter our program, the Master of Speech Pathology will appeal to people with an interest and/or background in:
- health science
- human services
- medical science
- public health
- Master of Philosophy - 5001 (all campuses)
- Doctor of Philosophy - 6001 (all campuses)
- Doctor of Philosophy by Publication - 6002 (all campuses)
