The services are provided by the staff of Griffith University, Gold Coast and Clinical Psychology Interns enrolled in Masters of Clinical Psychology and PhD programs. The Clinical Psychology Interns are registered provisional psychologists and practice under clinical supervision of fully registered and experienced psychologists.
Services on offer
The Nyunga Centre offers individual assessments and treatments for a range of issues including:
- peer relations/forming friendships
- self-esteem issues
- sadness and depression
- transition from primary to high school
- eating disorders
- anger management
- attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
- family relationships and more
Group-based programs and parent psycho-education sessions are also available.
Other services and activities
With parental consent, students may like to participate in research projects conducted by the staff.
The Nyunga Centre is located in the grounds of Marymount College at Burleigh Waters.
