Based on our Mt Gravatt campus, Griffith University provides confidential and affordable psychology services to those in need. Our clinic is open to the public and no referrals are required.

Telehealth consultations available

Telehealth consultations allow you to receive the same level of assessment and therapy that you'd receive with face-to-face consultations over the internet in the convenience of your own home.

We've recently introduced telehealth services in the following clinics - psychology, exercise physiology, physiotherapy, speech pathology and dietetics.

Individual therapy

You can choose between structured treatment programs or flexible programs where your therapist will work with you to identify modules that best suit your needs. All ages (child, adolescent, adult) are welcome. No diagnosis or referral is necessary.

Group therapy

We offer a range of group therapy options for adults and children. The adult programs focus on practicing Mindfulness as well as dealing with the struggles of daily life. Our child programs focus on helping children deal with anxiety and improve their social skills. Our Child Anxiety Program is for children 8-11 years.  The Kids Connect program is for children 8-11 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder to help them learn social skills..


Cognitive assessments are available for adults and children. Cognitive or learning assessments focus on  academic achievements and learning disabilities.

* Cognitive assessment includes initial session, assessment sessions, report and a feedback session. Medicare rebates not available on assessments.

What to expect

During the first session your psychologist will provide you with information about confidentiality and consent. Your psychologist will discuss your reasons for wanting to attend therapy and then together you will develop goals for treatment. Some first sessions may last for 1.5 hours and all future sessions will go for 1 hour. At the end of the first session you will be asked for feedback on how well your therapist has listened to you and understood your concerns.

The Griffith University Psychology clinic is located on Level 1, Building M24, 176 Messines Ridge Road, Mt Gravatt campus, QLD, 4122. Once on campus, pass through the first roundabout and follow the road to the left and keep an eye out for signs labelled 'Psychology Clinic'. Parking is available out the front of the clinic or alternatively in one of the paid parking options around the campus.
