The Oceania chapter of AIB incorporates Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands. Join us for the AIB Oceania chapter annual meeting
The AIB Oceania chapter annual meeting is renowned for its informal and collegial character, and typically held in November. For many academics in the region, this is the transition period between teaching and the summer ‘paper writing’ season, offering the region's international business and international management researchers the opportunity to gather as a community, to network, be reinvigorated, and gear up for a productive summer of research.
Past meetings have included a full-day research symposium followed by a professional development workshop.
The research symposium allows authors to present and receive feedback on their early-stage research ideas from peers, prior to working up papers for submission to journals or conferences.
The professional development workshop (PDW) varies in format and content each year, and is facilitated by distinguished international business academics. Prior PDW events have focussed on refine and develop research in preparation for submission to a high-quality journal.
Early career researchers and doctoral candidates are especially welcome.
