Dr Marta Sinclair is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Strategy and Innovation, and member of the Griffith Asia Institute.
Dr Sinclair is a multilingual academic and professional who has lived, studied and worked on three continents. Her research projects revolve around various aspects of intuition, both in business settings and in personal life. Dr Sinclair received an MA in Education from George Washington University, USA, and a PhD in Organizational Behaviour from The University of Queensland, Australia. She is Senior Lecturer in management at Griffith University, Australia. She (co-)authored a number of articles and edited chapters on intuition; acted as Editor of Handbook of Intuition Research and Handbook of Research Methods on Intuition (Edward Elgar, 2011, 2014), co-authored a practical guide Intuition for Every Day: We Know More than We Think (Windpferd, 2012), and published her first novel Woman’s Intuition (Kindle/iTunes, 2013). In 2009, she founded Intuition in Organizations, a global community of intuition researchers, that organizes annual symposia at the Academy of Management and disseminates intuition-related information via its LinkedIn group.
Dr Sinclair has over 20 years of management experience from various industries in Europe and USA, including Silicon Valley. Prior to joining academia, Dr Sinclair worked in a number of management positions in diverse industries, encompassing software localization, intercultural training, radio broadcasting, leisure and hospitality management, real estate and property management, and translation services.
