We are here to help you gain a better understanding of Australia’s tax system through our free tax education seminars. At these seminars you will learn about your rights and obligations, and how you can better navigate the tax system.
Taxing your investments
There are many ways that a person may invest their money – which might be via a term deposit with a bank, a rental property, their home, shares in a company or money in superannuation. However, the way that these investments are taxed can vary – including when income is earnt, the rate of tax and who must pay the tax.
This seminar will look at these common investments and explain their tax treatment, what deductions may be relevant, and highlight important things to consider.
This seminar will be conducted by the tax professionals and student tax advisers at the Griffith Tax Clinic. The Griffith Tax Clinic is a friendly, student-run clinic that provides free tax advice to individuals and small businesses who currently do not have a registered tax agent.
