Shireenjit Johl is a Professor in Accounting within the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics. Her research interest lie in the area of audit markets, corporate governance (board dynamics and diversity) and financial reporting (earnings quality) and policy choice.
Shireenjit’s research works has appeared in a number of esteem international academic journals including Corporate Governance: An International Review, International Journal of Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Managerial Auditing, Journal of Business Ethics, Pacific Basin Finance, International Journal of Auditing and Australian Accounting Review. Her research is supported by research grants and have been a recipient of CPA Australia research grant, AFAANZ research grant, ICAA (Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia) research grants, Deakin University Faculty of Business and Law research grants and FRGS Malaysia research grant. She has worked on research projects with Diversity Council Australia.
Prior to joining Griffith University, Shireenjit has taught at Deakin University.
