Dr Nerina Vecchio is interested in how public and private organisations can better serve the needs of frail and disabled individuals and their carers residing in the community. The purpose of her research is to ensure that individuals remain living in their home as long as possible and delay entering residential care. Dr Vecchio’s other research interests inter-relates with this theme and include: home health care services; inter-generational respite care; mental health and workforce productivity; informal carers of people with disabilities; labour market decisions of family members of people with disabilities.
