Dr Lanita Winata has been an academic staff member at Griffith University, Australia since 2005. Lanita completed her PhD at Griffith University and obtained the degree in 2005. Lanita also did her MBA at Western Michigan University, USA. She obtained her Bachelor in Accounting from Gadjah Mada University.
Lanita’s teaching and research interest are in performance management incorporating culture, managerial behaviour, management operations research, sustainability management, corporate governance marketing strategy, business strategy, and Information Technology and Communication (ICT). She has a number of publications in high rank Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) listed International Refereed Journals including British Accounting Review, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Accounting and Organisational Change, International Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Academy of Business and Economics and many other international journals. She published Accounting Principle text book, which was used for many years by all universities under Catholic University Association (APTIK). Recently she has published Managerial Accounting textbook, which was published by Cengage Learning Publisher, Australia. Now this textbook has been used by several universities in Australia.
Lanita also has number of years experience in supervising PhD students. She has a supervision strategy, which helps her PhD students complete the degree within 3.5 years. One of her his PhD students was awarded Griffith University’s medal for Best Thesis. Based on her supervision and publication experience, since 2012, Lanita has been sent by Griffith University to give workshops and presentations at different places on how to write a PhD research proposal, publishing research papers and writing effective literature review for publication. She also has been invited by Austrade and other organisations such as Asian Productivity Organisation to provide workshops of Performance Management.
Besides being an academic, Lanita has many years experience as a Certified Public Accountant in Indonesia. She is one the partners of an International Accounting and Management Consultant firm, HLB Hadori & Co and well experienced in auditing and tax consulting. She also has many years experiences in management consulting in performance management, IPO preparation and business restructure. Further, now she is also Certified Public Accountant Australia.
