The benefits of board diversity are consistently supported by research and the benefits are found in the areas of continuous disclosure, remuneration, financial reporting and performance. Although these benefits are noted in developed nations, research shows that in developing nations the benefits of gender diversity are not as clear. With the adoption of IFRS and globalization of businesses corporate governance is a key issue.
