If you are approved by Griffith Global Mobility for a trimester exchange program or short term program, you will be covered under Griffith University's Corporate Travel Insurance (you will not receive an individual insurance policy).
For more information, including access to the detailed Product Disclosure Statement, please visit our Insurance website. Ensure you familarise yourself with the relevant Information Sheet as some exclusions apply.
You are not covered for any private or leisure travel, therefore we highly recommend that you have your own private travel insurance if you intend to go on holidays or travel around as part of your program. As you do not receive an individual insurance policy through Griffith, you cannot 'extend' the coverage to include personal travel. However, you can purchase your own travel insurance through the same insurance provider if you wish. Alternatively, you can purchase your own travel insurance through another provider.
Making a claim
If you are on an approved program and need to make a claim, you will have to complete a claim form and lodge it along with the supporting documentation. The claim form and details on how to submit it are listed on the Insurance website.
