Through her own experiences, Melissa has become a great advocate and supporter of studying abroad and the personal development that comes with it. Her love of other cultures began with a high school exchange in Thailand, and continued throughout her university career where she completed exchange studies in Japan and Italy as part of her Bachelor of Languages.
My advice to students is to consider somewhere off the beaten track! Most of our partners teach in English, so there are lots of places to choose from.
Melissa is based on the Gold Coast campus.
Travel came early in Hannah’s life as she was raised in a family that has a love for adventure and seeing new places. Because of this, she has always had a passion for travel and the experiences that come with it, which then led her to complete an exchange in Quebec, Canada during her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Creative and Professional Writing). After that life-changing experience, Hannah fell into the world of study abroad and exchange which has since kept her busy and without a doubt that this is what she was meant to do with her life. Some favourite places she has visited are Canada (of course!), the United States, New Zealand, and Japan, to name just a few. When she isn’t thinking of the next big adventure, Hannah loves to spend time with friends, go hiking, and see as many musicals as possible.
Hannah is based on the Nathan campus (Mondays and Thursdays), and the Gold Coast campus (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
As a Griffith University student, Kassidy participated in both a short term program to China, and an exchange program in Belfast, United Kingdom. She is very passionate about the benefits of study abroad and exchange due to her experience overseas. She has a strong interest in international affairs from her studies in international business and international relations.
An international experience provides so many personal and professional benefits. It is great to meet so many students and hear about their exciting stories from their time in Australia!
