Architectural Design Workshop

This design workshop will be run by Kahn Neil, director of Neil Design. Kahn has extensive experience teaching architectural design within South-East Queensland universities. This two-day workshop provides an opportunity for secondary school students to learn more about studying architecture at a tertiary level.
Students will be introduced to creative problem solving in architectural design by working through a design exercise for a hypothetical project, assisted by experienced studio advisors. Aspects of architectural design process including human need, constraint generation and solution testing, will be explored in project mode. Measuring, scale and communicating design ideas.
There are no pre-requisite skills required for participation in this workshop and students will be provided with all required materials.
