Griffith's School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) prides itself on entrepreneurial leadership in emerging technologies. Previous graduates collaborated during their studies to develop a multi-million dollar business enterprise, creating holiday travel app, ‘Ventoura.’ Ray White Real Estate commissioned students to pioneer a revolutionary property management app, that was later refined as part of its national business structure.
These and many other outstanding achievements are acknowledged by internationally renowned Gold Coast software company, Opmantek. The School of ICT’s annual Opmantek Prize encourages and establishes links between Griffith ICT students and industry, who then collaborate to create new technological initiatives. Such ingenuity is seized upon by local governments who understand the potential in establishing South-east Queensland as an advanced, forward thinking hub of ideas and concepts.
