In 2016 the Griffith Centre for Coastal Management and City of Gold Coast will partner to bring you the Gold Coast Coastal Symposium. A coastal forum providing a platform for stakeholders to present their activities, challenges and successes.
The Coastal Symposium aims to bring together coastal engineers, educators, community members and students from across south-east Queensland working towards protection, management and care of the Gold Coast’s coastal environment to share experiences and showcase activities. Topics for the Symposium will include Coastal Protections and Engineering, Coast Care, Coastal Wildlife and Coastal Education.
The Symposium being held at Griffith University’s Gold Coast Campus on 25 June, 2016 will also aim to celebrate the commitment, time and effort of the hundreds of volunteers that are involved in caring for their local environment by providing a space to share their projects with other stakeholders in the region.

Registration fee includes a symposium bag, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Not-for-Profit organisations and NGO's are able to have a booth free of charge during the symposium included in their registration. Please refer to the details for exhibitors for more information.
Not for profit organisations/ Community members $50
For profit organisations, research institutions, government organisations and businesses $75
Fees are kept to a minimum to encourage participation however there are a limited number of scholarships available for community organisations with financial hardship for attending the symposium. Please contact the symposium committee prior to registration if your organisation may be eligible.

The coastal symposium is hosted and funded by the Griffith Centre for Coastal Management in partnership with the City of Gold Coast.
