At Griffith University, editorial conventions are based on the Style manual for authors, editors and printers, sixth edition, published by John Wiley & Sons, Australia Ltd. We also use the Macquarie Dictionary fifth edition as standard.

The information in this guide includes decisions taken at an in-house level. For media writing the style may change to suit the medium. For example, the Griffith Magazine uses the Fairfax Style Guide.

Academic and research publications are not covered by this guide.
