A leader in Hong Kong and China’s food and beverage sector, Dr Chen has more than 20 years’ financial and business management experience and is general manager of dessert chain, Hui Lau Shan.
Dr Chen completed his Griffith Bachelor of Commerce in 1993 and went onto enjoy a successful financial career in global high-growth companies in Greater China and Asia Pacific region.
Since joining Hui Lau Shan, a dessert chain with 300 stores, he has worked as Chief-Financial-Officer and been at the helm of company’s incredible growth and expansion.
Dr Chen sits on the Griffith University’s Business School Strategic Advisory Board as an international member, where he provides strategic advice and support to the Pro Vice Chancellor (Business) and the School’s leadership team. He is also an Adjunct Professor of the Business School and serves on the Industry Advisory Committee for Griffith University’s Bachelor of Business program in Hong Kong.
In 2016, Dr Chen won the Griffith Business School’s International Outstanding Alumnus Award for his success and reputation in the business world. A regular speaker at professional associations and conferences, including the CFO Innovation Forum and CFO Summit Asia, he is also chair of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Hong Kong branch.
