Welcome to the 2012 Volda University College Australasian Study Tour
We look forward to welcoming you to Griffith University at your orientation on Thursday, September 6.
This year’s program has lots of exciting highlights including a 9 day trip to Bourke where you’ll visit Bourke High School, local Newspaper and 2Web radio station and have guided tours through the Gundabooka National Park.
Back at University you’ll be doing a total of 33 contact hours with academics covering many different topics. These topics will include Vietnamese culture, history and economic system to help you be prepared for the trip to Vietnam. This program also includes a day trip to Stradbroke Island where you’ll be taught by the traditional land owner’s how to throw a boomerang as well as get involved in a dance and didgeridoo workshop.
Following your lecture weeks, you will fly to Vietnam to experience Vietnamese culture for 12 days. It will involve a lot of exciting tours and activities including Hanoi City tour, Ham Rong Mountain tour and Kayaking in Halong Bay.
After 12 days in Vietnam you will attend a small graduation and farewell lunch.
