Important information
FIRST YEAR ENTRY
In most cases students will enter the Associate Degree in Commerce and Business in the 2nd year of the program. That is, students entering the Associate Degree will normally be Diploma of Commerce or Diploma of Hotel Management graduates that have not achieved the relevant entry requirements for second year of the related Griffith Bachelor program. However under special circumstances or when specifically requested, Griffith College will consider making an offer for direct entry into the first year of the Associate Degree. Students who enter the Associate Degree at the first year will complete two years (or 4 full-time trimesters) of study at Griffith College before entering Griffith University Bachelor degree with 160 credit points completed towards a 240 credit point Bachelor. Students can complete the Associate Degree in 4-6 trimesters (16-24 months) if they enter the first year of the program.
SECOND YEAR ENTRY
There are two categories of students who are eligible to enter the Associate Degree with one year worth of credit to complete the program in 2-3 trimesters (8-12 months). The categories are: Category A Students who complete the Diploma of Commerce or Diploma of Hotel Management. Category B Students who enter the Associate Degree with advanced standing or up to one year credit from a program offered by an alternative provider (other than Griffith College). Examples might include a Diploma offered by another provider or first year of a University degree from an institution in Australia or overseas.
BURCU KAYMAK, TURKEY
“I think the teaching style at Griffith College is excellent. It is easy to make appointments to see your teachers or the student support team if you have questions about your work or if you need help with an assignment. The course information is easily accessible through the student portal where you can download the course notes and weekly lesson presentations. It is very convenient to have it all in the one place.”
