English entry requirements

The language of instruction at Griffith College is English. International applicants and Australia (domestic) applicants must demonstrate a suitable level of English language proficiency before being admitted into a program. The below table provides a list of accepted English language proficiency tests and required scores for entry to Griffith College programs. A full list of Australian and international equivalencies is available in the Admissions Policy Appendix 1- English Prerequisite Equivalents

If you do not meet the English language requirements you can undertake an English intensive course at Griffith English Language Institute (GELI)prior to commencing your Griffith College program.

^Students progressing to Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science; Bachelor of Pharmacology and Toxicology; Bachelor of Pharmacy; Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Bachelor of Sport Development, Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Exercise Science have higher English Language requirements, please refer to Diploma of Health Sciences for further information. Students progressing to Bachelor of Laws must have IELTS 6.5 (with no band below 6.0). Please check the Griffith University website to see if TOEFL, ISLPR, PEARSON Test of English (Academic) or Campbridge English are recognised equivalencies for entry to the bachelor degree.
