Educating and enriching lives through sport
The 2017 Sport Seminar Series brings together industry and subject matter experts for conversations on major sport events, club development, and sport performance.
The overarching theme of the 2017 series is 'educating and enriching lives through sport' by showcasing sport research at Griffith and its relevance and application to the sport industry. We provide a platform for discussion of key topics and the purposeful advancement of practice in the field.
The series provides excellent sport industry networking and professional development opportunities on the Logan campus.
The series target participation by local community members (e.g. council, sport clubs, local business, schools), and feature opportunities to study at Griffith University with the Griffith Business School (e.g., Sport Management) and showcase Logan campus sport facilities and venues.
- Three engaging panel presentations across the seminar series
- Commencing May 2017 and held each month for three months
- Joint panel presentation by an academic (subject matter expert) and leading practitioner/professional from the sport industry
- Interactive hour of discussion around refreshments
