Since 2007 Griffith Business School has been working with UnitingCare Health (UCH), and has developed and delivered a Leadership and Management program that is fully accredited as a postgraduate program with Griffith University, plus a number of other leadership-related workshops.
Following the sustained success of the partnership with UnitingCare Health, the Graduate Certificate program was offered to other agencies within UnitingCare Queensland (UCQ), including Blue Care, UnitingCare Community (formerly Lifeline) and Wesley Mission Brisbane.
International Water Centre
Director of Corporate Education, Frank Pollard, worked with International Water Centre to develop a Water Leadership Program. It is a cutting edge leadership development program facilitated by a number of experts in various aspects of leadership.
The program consists of four modules:
• Fostering innovation and creativity in teams
• Influence tactics and principles of persuasion
• Building resilience, adaptability, and managing stress
• Networking- six degrees of separation
Queensland Police Service
In 2010/2011 Griffith Business School, in collaboration with the School of Applied Psychology, worked with the Queensland Police Service delivering a senior leadership development program to 95 middle and senior managers (uniformed police: Assistant Commissioner - Senior Sergeants) in three police regions. The program was comprised of a 270 leadership practices survey, four day workshop and one-to-one mentoring.
Queensland Health Rural and Regional Medical Managers
Senior leadership development workshops were developed and delivered to a group of medical clinicians who had responsibility for managing small regional hospitals or medical centres. Designed to cover critical aspects of leadership of small and diverse groups and of three days duration the program delivered a practical framework in the context of situations encountered by Rural Generalists in both their day-today and strategic roles.
