GUESTS On-campus or Online
There are a large variety of courses for you to choose from during Trimester 1, 2 or 3. Selecting a course that is related to your future career goals puts you in a unique position to experience the subject area early and compliment your senior subjects.
How to select a course?
Start by browsing Degree and career finder to find the undergraduate program that you are interested in studying at Griffith. Then, on the left hand side select the 'Course list and requirements' page. This page will provide a list of all courses that make up the undergraduate program.
You can choose a first year course. A first year course begins with a '1', e.g., 1001HLS and could be offered in Trimester 1, 2 or 3. These course codes are hyperlinked, when you click on a course code it will direct you to a page that gives a description of what you will learn in the course.
Are there any restrictions on the first year courses available?
If you are applying for the Trimester 2 or 3 intake, be sure to choose courses that don't require a Trimester 1 prerequisite. If the course has a prerequisite it will state this in the course description. Courses with extensive off-campus practicals or sensitive material are not suitable for GUESTS students. Some programs may have restrictions on the particular courses that are available (e.g., Health, Education, Law and Queensland Conservatorium programs). You can preference three courses on your application, and we will contact you to negotiate the suitability of courses if it is restricted. You can study one course per trimester (maximum of two courses or 20 credit points in total).
