Amelia Evans is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 20 years’ experience in various industries including aviation, telecoms, FMCG and property development. Her initial grounding at Ernst & Young has led to senior executive roles in the public and private sectors in Australia, Solomon Islands, London, United States and the Caribbean.

At British Telecom in London, Amelia managed the BT group strategic plan, including the rollout of Broadband, negotiated joint venture agreements with AT&T and managed a significant Line of Sight change management program.  In the Caribbean, Amelia managed and established IGA retail and wholesale supermarkets, and also the development of commercial and residential properties.  At Qantas, Amelia worked in Head of Finance roles within the areas of ground operations, commercial, customer experience and engineering, including the delivery of major aircraft reconfiguration programs.

In her roles, Amelia has managed financial, operational, people, technology and project teams.  Amelia has been involved in crisis management, economic development, sporting and charitable committees, and an active mentor for a number of organisations in Australia.  She is currently a board member for the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for the National Trust (Queensland). Amelia has also recently been appointed as a Governor-in-Council member of Griffith University.

Amelia currently leads an experienced Finance, Analytics, Strategy, ICT and People team for the QAL group of companies.
