The Federal Government has allocated significant funds for increasing the participation and success rates of students from key geographical regions and under-represented cohorts of students.
With these funds, Griffith University has developed a Widening Participation Strategy, including the Uni-Skills program. Uni-Skills is specifically designed to support you through your University studies, and offer you timely advice and help in an easily accessible and peer-guided way.
What is Uni-Skills?
Uni-Skills is a free program with a range of activities and benefits, and includes access to a number of new initiatives and enhanced services:
- Study Groups
- peer-led by students from advanced years of your academic program
- focusing on both academic understanding and personal wellbeing
- one session per week
- held on your campus
- Online learning resources
- Additional scholarships and grants
- Expanded laptop scheme
- Increased emergency grants
- Expanded counselling services
