Our program prepares the next generation of film-makers for creative and exciting careers in the film, television and digital screen media industries. You will gain core skills and knowledge in film practice and histories across several genres including drama, documentary, sponsored productions and in multi-camera television studio management.
Many of our past graduates have had their films screened in national and international film festivals. The Griffith Film School has strong industry links, giving you the opportunity to do work placements, take part in mentoring programs, attend masterclasses and guest lectures from industry specialists.
In your second and third year we allow time for some vocational specialisation to suit your interests and career aspirations. This may include electives in scriptwriting, design, film studies, photography and music technology. You will join other students in securing a solid knowledge in the processes of screen producing and distribution.
We enjoy an extensive range of facilities, hardware and software covering the spectrum of production for the screen industries. These include 16mm and High Definition video, two studio facilities providing multi-camera and sound stage capacity, motion capture, significant post-production laboratories and edit rooms (with Avid, Final Cut Pro, Shake and Pro-Tool platforms), and state of the art sound recording studios.
