Animation producer, director, script editor and multimedia designer, Andi Spark is active in both the commercial animation and independent film industries. A background in animated series production and commercial studios as an animation director led to collaborations with artists, animators and musicians as supervising producer for internationally award winning short films and music videos, including prizes from Annecy, Cannes and Melbourne film festivals and the Australian Film Institute.
Previously lecturer and coordinator for postgraduate animation at The Victorian College of the Arts, she has been closely involved with curriculum development and course structure at various tertiary institutions. Recent Visiting Artist engagements include CALARTS (USA) and TNNUA (Taiwan). Her research interest focuses on visualisations relating to linguistics and communication for people with disabilities. Andi is president incumbent of the Queensland Animators Group and is committed to coordinating events for, and liaising with, the whole Australian animation community.
