Course Outline
A hands-on introduction to photography using digital cameras. Learn about megapixels, resolution, file formats and how to choose the best camera settings for your photography. The weekend course is designed to meet the needs of participants at different levels of experience and with a variety of photographic interests.
Master digital workflow techniques and use Photoshop to enhance your photographs before using the latest Epson printers to make archival prints. Ideal for amateur photographers new to digital cameras and digital imaging. Participants can print three (3) archival prints to A3 size.

- 1GB USB Memory Stick

Teacher: Margaret Waller - QCA Gold Coast
Margaret graduated from Melbourne’s RMIT in Photography in 1981. For the next 14 years, she lived in Harare, Zimbabwe where she taught photography and photojournalism. During that time she also worked as a freelance photographer, publishing photographs in the Independent (UK), The Irish Times, Newsweek (USA), New York Times and received commissions from a number of UN agencies. In 1996 she moved to Johannesburg to study a Masters of Fine Art at the University of the Witwatersrand. As a part of the Masters program, she published "A Bigger Picture: A training manual of photojournalism in Southern Africa". Since returning to Australia, Margaret has been teaching at the University of Technology Sydney, Charles Sturt University and now a sessional staff member at Griffith on the Gold Coast. Margaret also maintains a freelance professional practice. Her Photographic interests are environmental portraits, social documentary and the landscape.
