Established by the Queensland College of Art, to strategically position the College as the "leader in the delivery of professional art and design education and professional development in Queensland", QCA Enterprise strives towards the realisation of the following key objectives:

  • successfully brand QCA as leader in innovation and creativity in art and design professional practice
  • provide a connection, and communication link, between students, alumni and industry
  • stimulate growth in postgraduate enrolments
  • encourage growth in the number of high achieving secondary school students entering QCA degree programs
  • initiate community engagement in the areas of professional development, networking and interaction with the secondary school sector
  • establish extension programs and enrichment activities for the senior secondary school sector
  • engage alumni in activities representative of contemporary QCA initiatives
  • recognize professional expertise of alumni by engaging them in course and program planning and delivery at professional development, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

QCA Enterprise provides a wide range of learning opportunities throughout the year, from beginner classes through to professional development activities for fine art, design, photography, film and television, animation and games design.  The QCA Creative Short Course program also provides Queensland art students and teachers with a broad range of pre-tertiary activities including jewellry and small objects, painting, web design, photoshop, flash animation and video editing.

As well as managing the QCA Creative Short Course program and the QCA Alumni Network, QCA Enterprise provides a community gateway to quality artists through Liveworm (design), LiveLab (film, animation and games design) and Liveimage (photography) Studios, where students work for industry clients as part of their degree. QCA Enterprise also manages the Griffith Film School Film Festival Support Program, assisting students to submit their work for screening in international and domestic film festivals.
