As a Photography graduate, you will have developed high level conceptual skills, an in-depth knowledge of the materials, processes, equipment and techniques involved in professional photographic practice.
You will have a strong understanding of the interrelationship between photography and other forms of visual communication, and the ability to produce meaningful visual statements.
- Graduates of the Creative Advertising major find
employment with photographic studios, advertising agencies and publishers both in Australia and internationally. There is a broad range of fields within creative advertising photography including fashion, food, architecture, school and sport photography and portraiture.
- Graduates of the Photographic Art Practice major find representation with fine art galleries, undertake public art commissions such as those available through the Arts Queensland Public Art Agency and also find employment in the education sector.
- Graduates of the Photojournalism major find employment with newspapers, magazines and news agencies both in Australia and internationally.
Graduates also find employment in photographic sales or as technicians and in the education sector. Many graduates will become self-employed through undertaking freelance photography.
