The Griffith University On-Campus Exhibition Program (OCEP) offers an ongoing exhibition program to staff and students on all five Griffith University campuses.
In accordance with the Griffith University Art Collection (GUAC) policy, the curatorial objective of the program is to develop focused groupings of artworks on campus that have a relationship to the area of teaching or service in which they are displayed.
Our policy directive is to put artwork in relatively high-traffic zones so the work is seen by as many people as possible, rather than being secreted into senior staff and other private offices.
The GUAC and OCEP objective is to normalize art, especially forms of contemporary practice that are socially aware, and to contribute to an atmosphere where works from the collection become part of an everyday experience for students and visitors to the campuses.
Griffith Artworks operates under guidelines that do no set limits on how regularly hangs change, as there is only one full-time and one part time staffer attached to the role of administering the scheme. With between 600-650 works out at any time, and other major collection responsibilities, the scheme is run according to organizational and staffing capacity.
Recent On-campus Hangs
As an alternative to hanging painted works or works on paper, a small display from the extensive ceramics collection housed by Griffith University Art Collection could be installed in a secure display cabinet. Recently ceramics works were installed in the Law Building (N61).

The above works were selected from a large gift of 250 ceramic works donated to Griffith University in 2007.
