On completion of this module, University staff will be able to capture and appropriately manage email messages generated as a result of business activities.
To achieve this aim you will be able to:
- identify who should capture an email message;
- identify a public record as an email message resulting from a business transaction;
- identify file references to be included in the message;
- identify methods of capturing the email message in the University's corporate records system;
- identify which parts of the email message should be captured;
- identify the process for disposal or deletion of email messages;
- identify security issues relating to email messages; and
- understand how your role as a user fits into the email messaging system.
