Graduation
Griffith provides a range of initiatives across the student life-cycle to optimise learning and career outcomes - while outreach and access activities are a key focus of its widening participation strategies, retaining and graduating students are also most important.
The following initiatives have been devised to ensure that graduation is accessible to all students and appropriately acknowledges student identity and achievement, as well as supporting students with their employment and careers pathways.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students' graduation stoles
Students of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage may choose to wear, in addition to their academic gown, a stole that reflects their cultural heritage, such as a student identifying as:
- Aboriginal, the design incorporating the Aboriginal flag colours
- Torres Strait Islander, the design incorporating the Torres Strait Islander flag colours
- a member of both communities, the design incorporating both cultural versions.
