You can represent Griffith University at Australian University Sport events throughout 2010. Registration is open to any student currently enrolled in a degree or higher award at Griffith University. Both individual and team registrations are encouraged. There are a number of sporting events contested on the Australian University Sport Calendar please follow the links below to find out more information about representing Griffith. The Northern University Games (3-8 July) and the Australian University Games (25 Sept - 1 Oct) are the main events Griffith University Students attend.

Australian University Games

Gold Coast is hosting the AUG in 2011!  The event offers students the chance to compete in 29 different sports over 5 days of competition, including an action packed social program. All Griffith University Campuses will combine to compete against Universities from all over Australia. To join our team and get involved in the games see the details below:

Sports AFL, Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Cycling, Fencing, Football (soccer), Golf, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Kendo, Lawn Bowls, Netball, Rowing, Rugby Union 7'S, Sailing, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tenpin Bowling, Tennis, Touch Football, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Water Polo.
Registration opens Semester 2, 2011
Registration closes 12pm Friday 19 August

Package 1 (including accommodation)

Includes accommodation (5 nights bed & breakfast), sport entry fee, social program entry, team uniform, team merchandise and team dinner.
$460.00 plus $100 refundable Good Behaviour Bond
Package 2 (excluding accommodation)
Includes sport entry fee, opening and closing ceremony, social program entry, team uniform, team merchandise and team dinner.
$230.00 plus $100 refundable Good Behaviour Bond.

  • Cross registrations: $35 fee applies for participants registering in more than one sport.
  • Late registrations: $35 late fee applies to all registrations received after the deadline. Any changes to registration information after the deadline will incur an $11 administration fee.
  • Withdrawals:  Any withdrawals after the registration deadline will result in complete loss of all fees paid including accommodation. Entry fees to the competition may be refunded with a medical certificate at the discretion of Australian University Sport.

How to register on the Uni games website

In order to play for Griffith University, you also need to register online at the Australia University Games website. Please see instructions below.

  • Go to the Australia University Games website.
  • On the far right side under “Leading stories” you’ll see the yellow “Website User Login”.
    New participant: If you are a new user and have not signed up simply click the “click here” link where it says “to register as a new user”. This will take you to the registration page.  Follow the instructions to ‘New User’ and fill out your details. Once you have completed your registration to the Uni Games website an email will be sent to you with a link to activate your user account by verifying your email address. Once this is done, you are then able to login to register for the Australian University Games and other services.
    Past participant: Please enter your email address and password. If you have forgotten your password please just “click here” where it says “to register as a new user”. This will take you to the registration page.  Scroll to the bottom of the screen and follow the prompts to ‘Forgot Password’
  • Once you have registered as a user, log on to the web user home page, please ensure that you are entered into the correct university (found under your name at the top right hand side, if not please contact me ASAP). Once you have confirmed this, click on the 2009 NUG link under the 'Registration' table. Follow the prompts and register yourself as a competitor.
  • Read the terms and conditions of participation and click "I Accept these Terms and Conditions"
