Marine science

Whether you’re after a career in environmental consulting, chemical or biological oceanography, fisheries management or as a tourism operator, our Bachelor of Marine Science will provide you with the necessary knowledge and multidisciplinary skills in both physical and life sciences.

It will be of particular interest to more capable students undertaking senior marine studies and science subjects in years 11 and 12.

Undergraduates will work on real-life projects in fisheries, aquaculture, marine conservation, coastal and resource management during industry placements with key organisations.

The multidisciplinary skills gained will be valued by governments and private organisations involved in a variety of industries and pursuits, especially those working towards solutions to deal with the global decline in fisheries stocks, pollution of the world’s oceans and the growing threat of climate change.

The course is offered at our Gold Coast campus, in Australia’s fastest developing coastal region.
