Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry Facility
Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometry is the most precise form of mass spectrometry in current use. It employs a mass analyser capable of achieving the highest resolution and mass accuracy of any mass analyser. This instrument is also capable of acquiring isotopic data for both small molecules and proteins.
Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometry relies on a high field superconducting magnet to achieve these high performance characteristics.
Research within our Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry facility aims to harness the capability of mass spectrometry for biomolecular characterisation.
We also offer an accurate mass service for determining empirical formulae.
