In our stem cell and molecular therapies specialisation, you will learn about stem cell biology, tissue engineering and the way in which these cutting-edge developments can be applied as cell therapies in the treatment of disease.

You will also learn about the new molecular therapies that are being developed to combat diseases including genetic diseases and cancer. Many of these developments promise to usher in an era of personalised molecular medicine.

Graduate Nathalie RomondBiomolecular Science graduate

It’s an incredibly exciting time to be involved in stem cell technology, as we’re only beginning to discover its potential in treating everything from diseases such as MS and Parkinson’s to helping people with spinal injuries walk again.

Biomolecular Science opens a huge variety of career options without locking you into anything. If you’re into science, it gives you the skills to work in everything from medical research to drug design, agriculture or horticulture research.
