Plant biotechnology will provide you with knowledge and skills in plant biology and plant molecular biosciences. You will learn how this knowledge is being applied in agriculture and in the conservation of plant genetic resources and biodiversity.
Adam Kaity
Biomolecular Science graduate
Next time you bite into a luscious, sweet golden papaya you might have a biotechnologist to thank!Griffith graduate Adam Kaity is putting his biomolecular science skills to practical use, working towards an exciting career in biotechnology.
Adam is completing his PhD taking part in a project in Griffith's Centre for Forestry and Horticulture Research using natural genetic engineering to develop a stronger, tastier papaya that is more resistant to disease enabling farmers to use fewer toxic chemicals.
