You will develop the skills and knowledge required for employment within Aviation Management. The program is designed to provide you with the core skills needed for lifelong learning in the constantly changing aviation environment. You can study second and third year courses via the Internet. In your final year you will have the opportunity to undertake a short research project which can be sponsored by an organisation or individual within the industry.

Griffith University Aviation Management students will be well placed for careers in Aviation Management. Those students electing to take on the management major will be able to develop their current professional skills or experiences into more meaningful management roles. The courses completed will be directly related to job functions and allow graduates to carry them out effectively and efficiently. This includes short to long term planning strategies, as well as coordination skills required within airline operations and supporting industries. Students will be equipped with the skills to be able to successfully manage personnel from the recruitment stage through to career planning for individual staff members.

Students electing to undertake the training management major will be skilled in the foundations of educational practice. It will include the ability to critically review and develop training curricula appropriate to aviation personnel. Graduates will also be able to effectively develop and mange appropriate training and assessment approaches.

Applying for admission

Applicants can apply directly to the University and their technical qualifications and industry experience will be reviewed to determine their eligibility for entry.

Upon acceptance, students will be granted up to 120CP of advanced standing on the basis of their qualifications and experience.

College of Aeronautical Science

Aeronautical Mathematics

The curriculum combines standard year 12 Algebra and Calculus with applications in Flight Principles, Flight Planning and Aviation related topics. The student is thus encouraged to learn new concepts by way of illustrations in a familiar and useful area.

This course is an accepted Mathematics B Bridging course.
