Call for papers - NOW CLOSED
The call for papers for the 6th Symposium on Accountability, Governance and Performance is now open. These papers can be case studies, experiences with implementing changes in the public sector system and other practical issues. Examples of papers focusing on accountability and performance issues from a sustainability perspective may include but are not limited to:
- Organizational performance and accountability
- Implementation and managing financial outcomes
- Risk management and internal control evaluation
- Environmental management and sustainable development
- Probity audit in the public and private sectors
- Corporate governance and financial reporting implications
- Fiscal responsibility
- Performance measures in the public and private sectors
- Economic value added analysis
- Project appraisal and accountability
Awards
Two cash prizes of $300 will be offered - one for the best paper submitted by a non-academic/ practitioner; and the other for the best conference paper. Papers will be judged according to innovativeness and contribution to the theory and practice.
Submission of Papers
The deadline for submission of completed papers is 31 October, 2007.
It is hoped that authors will be advised of the acceptance of papers by 30 November, 2007.
Papers should not exceed 25 A4 pages and should conform to the style and format of Accounting, Accountability & Performance. Papers should not exceed 25 A4 pages and should conform with the style and format of the manuscript guidelines. All submissions will be blind reviewed by independent expert reviewers.

All accepted papers will be published as conference proceedings on the journal's website. Authors may also elect to have their papers considered for publication in Accounting, Accountability & Performance.
Authors should submit the Call for Papers submission form with their paper via email to m.john@griffith.edu.au or alternatively, authors may submit a printed copy of the form together with three printed copies of the completed paper to:
