Two bursaries each worth $1000 awarded annually to students enrolled in the Griffith School of Environment Honours program. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist recipients to undertake honours programs, which will involve research in areas of ecological, environmental, social or historical research of relevance and benefit to the Venman Reserve and foster strong links with the wider community.
It is expected that applicants would be enrolled either full or part-time in the Bachelor of Science with Honours (program code 2002; 2006) with the Griffith School of Environment and whose research project involves research of relevance and benefit to the Venman Reserve.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility and selection will be based on the following criteria:- current full-time or part-time student undertaking a Griffith School of Environment Honours Program with the Griffith School of Environment
- prior academic excellence in an undergraduate degree program at either this or another university
- applicants must be Australian citizens or have permanent resident status
- the Proposed Research Topic
- referee reports.
