URS is an international engineering and environmental services firm. URS designs engineering solutions for water and infrastructure projects and manages our clients’ environmental requirements, risks and reputation. We are scientists, engineers, economists, planners, project managers and risk management specialists. Together we form a strong multi-disciplinary team bringing knowledge, talent, experience and passion to what we do.

With extensive capabilities in the Asia Pacific region we can offer comprehensive services for specialised assignments as well as large multiphase projects. We operate with a global network of around 50 000 personnel in 34 countries with 18 offices in the Asia Pacific region.

URS has established one Environmental scholarship, valued at $7500, to be awarded to one final year Environmental Science student covering one calendar year. The successful applicant will have high academic achievement, environmental, ethical and humanitarian goals and demonstrated enthusiasm for a career in Environment.

The URS Environment scholarship is open to Environmental Science students who are undertaking their final year of full-time study in Semester 1, 2011.

Eligibility

To be eligible, students must:

  • be enrolled full-time (40 credit points or more)
  • be on track to graduate at the end of the 2011 year
  • be eligible to complete the IAP in semester 1, 2011 (at least 140CP completed and a GPA or 4.5 or higher)
Students do not have to undertake 3001ENV Industry Affiliates Program in order to apply for this scholarship.
