Sally and Warren von Bibra are strong supporters of the Institute of Glycomics and have been supporting this Honours scholarship for many years.
Research at the Institute for Glycomics involves the study of carbohydrates and carbohydrate-binding proteins in various biological systems, and the design of novel drugs and vaccines. This approach presents an exciting therapeutic platform for the control of a wide-range of medical conditions such as cancer, diabetes, infectious diseases, inflammation and immune disorders.
Program of study
Any relevant Honours program offered through a School (for example, School of Medical Science, School of Biomolecular and Physical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, etc.), at the Gold Coast campus with a supervisor who is a member of the Institute for Glycomics.
Entry requirements
Students must meet the eligibility requirements for entry into any relevant honours programs. Further details are available from the relevant School Administration Officer.

Selection criteria
Selection will be based on the following criteria:- Must be Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for the Honours Program at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus (that is, School of Medical Science, School of Pharmacy or School of Biomolecular and Physical Sciences).
- Academic merit.
- Two referee reports must be submitted.
- An interview may be required for short listed applicants.
