Value and conditions

The total value of the scholarship is up to $5000 for a period of up to three years and will provide for direct payment of a portion of the scholarship recipients Student Contribution Charge (previously known as HECS). There are two scholarships available from 2008, and they will be split as follows:
  • $3000 for second year student
  • $2000 for third year student.

Number of scholarships available

Two (2) scholarships are available ($3000 to a second year student; $2000 to a third year student).

Selection criteria

Selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • open to Australian citizens or holders of a Permanent Resident Visa or a Permanent Humanitarian Visa
  • enrolled in nominated programs listed in the 2nd or 3rd year of their study
  • academic merit, that is, GPA and OP (rank equivalent)
  • demonstrated leadership potential
  • personal strengths
  • short-listed applicants may be interviewed.
