NewGen Power Honours scholarship

The NewGen Power Honours scholarship provides an opportunity for a high achieving Honours candidate to obtain valuable and generous financial support during their Honours studies.  Applications for the scholarship are encouraged from candidates considering a dissertation in the area of “Energy” in Australia, which may include specific topics such as: carbon trading; electricity deregulation; market design; electricity derivative trading; system planning; vertical integration; competition; energy regulation; nuclear power; derivative pricing; energy policy and sustainability. 

Programs of study

Applicants must have met the Griffith Business School entry requirements for admission to a Bachelors Honours degree (end-on honours) program.

Eligibility

  • have been admitted to an Honours program within the Griffith Business School, Griffith University;
  • have obtained a minimum GPA of 5.0 in their best twelve second and third year undergraduate courses – best twelve being equal to 120 credit points;
  • agree to undertake a dissertation in the area of "Energy Australia*" under the joint supervision of a qualified staff member of the School and NewGen Power; and
  • be prepared to attend the offices of NewGen Power at Riverside Centre once a month to provide an update of the thesis; and
  • be an Australian Citizen or be a Permanent Australian Resident.
