About Research at Griffith
Griffith University is a contemporary, research intensive Australian institution on a quest to solve some of the world's most challenging problems.
The University's success in attracting research funding is an acknowledgement that Griffith's vision is shared and appreciated by many others. Highlights in the past two years include:
- $10 million over five years for the National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility,
- $22 million for the National Centre for Adult Stem Cell Research,
- $14 million for the Smart Water Research Facility,
- more than $15 million for the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Policing and Security and
- $1.3 million from the Queensland Government for the Eskitis Institute for Cell and Molecular Therapies.
Griffith is a member of the Innovative Research Universities Australia and focuses research efforts in areas of strategic importance to Queensland, to Australia and globally.

Office for Research
The Office for Research supports research management and policy development in the University including:
- grants administration
- human and animal ethics approvals
- policy advice to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research)
- the implementation of the research centres policy and membership management
- research quality evaluation, and
- research related statistical returns.
