Project workshop

A project workshop was held on 25th March for all participants involved in the trial of the new online program management system. The workshop provided an overview of the online program planning, development, approval and review project and the anticipated changes, benefits and impacts resulting from the project. The workshop also offered an opportunity for trial participants to have input and give feedback into the new online program management system. Griffith Institute for Higher Education also discussed the new full program proposal template and the rationale behind the new design.

Workshop feedback has been collated and is located on the Resources page.

User acceptance testing

The project is currently in the development and test stage. During this stage, the system will be built and system tested by the project. On completion of system testing, selected staff will be involved in user acceptance testing prior to releasing the system for trial.

User acceptance testing is performed by business users who are familiar with the process and business requirements and can determine that the system will meet the needs of the business.

Trial

The online program management system will be trialled for 6 months from May to October 2008.

The trial will only include new programs that groups submitted in their program profile plan for 2009 and were approved by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) at the end of 2007.
