  • Royal Australian Chemical Institute Activities:
    • I initiated the first Symposium on Organic Synthesis in Brisbane. This has grown to an Annual event attracting in excess of 100 chemists each year. It is a significant event in the Brisbane calendar.
    • I was the guest speaker at a Breakfast Symposium on 25 Jul 2001 sponsored by the RACI, AusBiotech and Department of Innovation and Information Economy. The topic of my address was Can the SE Qld Region Develop a Pharmaceutical-based Bio-Industry?
